Clean Your Bathroom the Natural Way

Bathroom cleaning is never a fun job for anyone. However, harsh chemicals that burn your eyes and sinuses can make the experience even worse. Unfortunately, many of us do not feel that our bathroom is truly clean unless we use such tough cleaning products that claim to be anti-bacterial, germ killing, etc. Despite this idea, there are many natural ingredients you can use to clean your bathroom. These natural cleaning products will both get your bathroom squeaky clean and keep you safe from harmful chemicals.

Vinegar

Vinegar has multiple uses in bathroom cleaning. You can make a solution that is half vinegar and half water to clean your tile, counters, and showers. It will completely eliminate soap scum as well as grime.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a household item very commonly used to eliminate odors. Sprinkle baking soda in the tub, toilet, sink, and on the floor. Next, spray with vinegar. The chemical reaction will lift grime from all surfaces and make your fixtures shine.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is another common household item that you can mix with baking soda for an effective cleaning product. Sprinkle your baking soda on the grout in your bathroom, then spray with hydrogen peroxide and scrub it using an old toothbrush.

Essential Oils

Check out this great recipe for an all-purpose bathroom cleaner. All you need is a teaspoon of borax, ½ teaspoon of washing soda, a teaspoon of liquid castile soap, and essential oils. Use four drops each of lavender and lemon along with ten drops of orange. Next, add two cups of warm water – distilled water is ideal, but you can also use regular tap water if you boil it.

Lemons

Finally, one simple way to remove stains on your fixtures uses just a lemon. Cut the lemon in half and rub it on the dirty surface, and just like that your fixtures will shine like new.
